Wireless History Foundation

Join Coracle Group in supporting the Wireless History Foundation, an independent, non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to educating and inspiring future generations about the significance and growth of the wireless communications industry.

The Wireless History Foundation is the first and only effort focused solely on preserving the story of wireless in the United States. The WHF chronicles the evolution of markets and technology, the contributions of numerous organizations, and the achievements of individuals, all of which fueled the growth of wireless communications.

WHF launched on Oct. 13, 2008, the anniversary of the official commercialization of cellular technology in the United States, with a glittering celebration in Chicago. More than 500 people attended, including founders of many of the foremost companies in the industry.

This event was followed by an October 2010 dinner in San Francisco, formally honoring industry pioneers and innovators inducted into the Wireless Hall of Fame. Those present included luminaries from network operators and equipment manufacturers, as well as top-level executives from the venture capital, engineering and consulting communities.

The 2011 Wireless Hall of Fame reception and dinner was held October 10 in San Diego, the evening immediately preceding the CTIA Enterprise and Applications tradeshow. This sold-out event was attended by executives of companies across the industry, as well as key journalists representing media including The Wall Street Journal, CNET, FierceWireless, Wireless Week and more.

Coracle Group provides public relations representation for WHF and manages all media inquiries related to the organization’s activities.
